REU Program
Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) is a program that enables our undergraduate students to become actively involved in a summer research project at a participating REU institution. Some of the REU programs available to our students are described at the NSF REU website.
Other internship opportunities exist as well, including historically companies like the Lord Corporation (Cary), Borg-Warner (Asheville), U.S. Steel Buildings (Boone), and others. Namely, the NC Space Grant partnership provides internship opportunities and student grant support:
- NC Space Grant Internships
- NC Space Grant Undergraduate (Freshman/Sophomore and Junior/Senior) and Graduate Fellowships
