For all internships, check the websites or information available in the Physics and Astronomy Department office (CAP 231).  The information below is a guideline.  Also, be sure to consult your advisor for information on appriopriate internships for your area of interest.

Astronomy

National Center for Atmospheric Research, High Altitude Observatory, Boulder, CO

Area of interest: Solar physics, solar-terrestrial physics, and astrophysics
Preferred background: Basic physics; electromagnetics, classical mechanics and quantum mechanics desired
Term of appointment: June, July and August
Deadline to apply Typically early January
Application material: Letter from student indicating general scientific interest and special skills
