Access to the FTP site for SPECTRUM
The UNIX/Linux version of SPECTRUM may be obtained at the following
link: The latest version of SPECTRUM is v2.73, August,
2006.
SPECTRUM binaries which will run on Windows may also be obtained from
this link.
For UNIX/LINUX, download spectrum273.tar.gz and at least one of the
line list files.
For Windows, download spectrum266.zip, spectrum101.zip and at least one
of the line list
files (v2.73 will be available in Windows binaries
soon).
Note that v2.73 is a major upgrade for SPECTRUM. Files associated
with v2.73, such as atom.dat and stdatom.dat are not compatible with versions
earlier than v2.72.

May 6, 2008: Beta Test Version SPECTRUM v2.75 now available via the
download sites above.
This beta test version, already thoroughly tested, is a major upgrade
for SPECTRUM. It includes updates on continuous opacity sources,
on the calculation of the hydrogen lines (including significant
improvements in the calculation of the hydrogen lines for the late-type
stars, and
also the calculation of Lyman-alpha H2 satellites), the addition of the
ability to calculate spectra for the H2 molecule, and added versatility
in the spectral-line broadening calculations. SPECTRUM v2.75 also
comes with new, detailed documentation. Note -- do not use old
versions
of atom.dat or stdatom.dat with v2.75 due to compatibility
problems. Version 2.75 will replace 2.73 as the stable
version within a few
weeks. A windows version of 2.75 will be released in a few days.
